Now that we have passed the half-way point, how do plan to maximize the next 14 days for the benefit of your team and for your own personal goals that you set out before starting?

Since I'm a team captain who rides all the time all year round, my biggest goal for the rest of the contest is to help my team's infrequent riders complete their 4 rides so we can all tap into the prizes. Did you guys see that they are giving away a free bike to the infrequent rider who logs the most trips? Sweet! That could be a motivator for infrequent riders if they don't know about it yet. I saw it on the prizes page, if you're curious.
I'm an infrequent rider and the captain of my team. I'm having trouble motivating one of my team members to ride his brand new bike!!! AHHH!!! My team is doing pretty well overall and I'm so proud of them!!! Even without one person riding, we have almost hit the 100 pts mark.
I would like to suggest having team bike challenge extended throughout the year. I think the contests is great and inspired many people to ride more frequently and use their cars less. I think that rather than continue competition throughout the year we could use the web site to log our rides and miles. The emphasis could be on what we do as a group to reduce traffic, to decrease our use of gasoline, and to decrease pollution. I'm a frequent rider who has been commuting for the last 11 years. The more we can do to encourage the use of bicycles will significantly enhance our way of life. Sometimes when we do things individually we don't see the impact of what we are doing directly. I feel that if as a group we could continue to log our miles and rides we could see the power of our collective action. We could also calculate the gallons of gasoline saved and the tons of carbon dioxide not spewed into the atmosphere. I commend Erika for her great work on this project.
